Since we recently moved to Tampa we had to look for new groomers for our 5 month old yorkie. This place is fantastic. I didn't have to wait and my pup was ready with in 1.5 hours. They were patient with the pup since he doesn't like to be groomed. They also offer day car for small dogs. I will definitely try their day care soon. My dog looks great!

So happy I came here for my Charlie! Super cute office and the dogs are kept in cute mini fenced/gated areas---no crates or closed off rooms. I know my Charlie can be a hyper handful sometimes but there was nothing uneven or messed up about his coat and not a spot left untouched. I know the reviews were good but I had to see for myself and I was definitely impressed! He left looking as handsome as ever and they even gave him a little Halloween bandanna! Go here if you're thinking about bring your fluffy pooch! He'll come out dashing! Haha. They definitely scored themselves a forever client and I'll be sure to tell my friends about this place. )

Took both of dogs here to get a quick little service, price was extremely good! Staff was super friendly and caring. We will definitely return for more visits!

Very cute, clean, and well-kept shop! I called for a day-of appointment, and had to leave a message. But they called me back within about two hours and scheduled my pup's grooming for later that afternoon. Everyone I talked to at Dashing Pooch was very friendly and sweet. I love that the dogs are never put in crates throughout their time being groomed, and the shop calls as soon as your dog is done to have them picked up so you don't have to wait. Also, they are very reasonably priced compared to other groomers in the area (Petsmart), and I will definitely be returning. Most importantly though, my pup Stella looked so cute and fresh when she was all done!

They were awesome! We called for a quick nail trim, they saw us right away and it took less than 5 minutes! Super quick, and the staff was really nice!

I am so happy this place opened so close to our house! Everyone in there is very friendly and the place itself is very cute. I have been there for a couple of services for my pup, nail trimming, sanitary trims, pet basic bath/groom and I bought a leather harness for my pup's Halloween costume. It was actually cheaper through them than on Amazon where I was going to buy it. Prices are excellent, same prices as Petco except you get amazing service and the people seem to really care about your dog. Our pup's hair was the softest it has ever been after he went here. Excellent place and I will continue going here.

Great customer over the phone. They were completely booked today, but her enthusiasm made me book for next week. Will update with pictures I'm really anxious.

I have brought my dog in here twice before for her nails and was quite pleased. Today I brought her in and the woman that was cutting her nails was throwing her around as if she was an item on an assembly line and then cut her nail almost at the bottom and blood was pouring out as my dog (a therapy dog) was screaming in pain. This woman should not work with animals and if she acted like this with me there, imagine how she treats dogs when their owner isn't there? I'm now on my way to the Vet since the nail will not stop bleeding and has already split down the middle. What a horrible woman and the fact they keep her, makes me suspect of this business. Please be aware when you bring your pets here, the treatment of my dog was borderline abuse and abuse that we're expected to pay for. *An update of my post* My dog bled all over my car seats and cried as I drove her to the Veterinarian after leaving this shop. This was done on New Year's Eve and the Dashing Pooch was closing in a few hours and the way my dog was pulled, pushed and held to the ground, it was as if the woman was in a giant rush and cared more about finishing her day than she did about animals. This wasn't a case of going too far down on the quick of a nail, this was taking almost the entire nail off and "manhandling" a therapy dog that has traveled all over in treatment of children and wouldn't hurt anyone. I've seen rabid animals treated with more compassion. It was as if the employee saw my dog and decided that she looked mean and needed to be treated rough, even though we'd been there before.

One star only because this daycares employees are more caring about the building than the owner. Place hasn't been cleaned since it opened. Bug and ant problem. Owner is careless about employees and expects them to cover for her so she can have vacation but complains and back stabs own employees and clients. Talks garbage behind clients backs. I'm a witness to said back stabbing. Is rude and lied to client about being booked for a month. Refused to talk to said client herself and made employee undergo harsh verbal threatening through said client instead of dealing with them herself.

Dashing Pooch always does an outstanding job with my shih tzu! Everyone there is so friendly and I feel comfortable leaving my fur baby in their hands! Their prices are also very reasonable for the South Tampa area!

Hi Pete, My name is Lois and I am the owner of The Dashing Pooch. I greatly apologize that you had a negative experience in our shop. Myself and my staff are extremely passionate about the work we do. We love animals and treat them with dignity, respect, and great care. I can't tell you how upsetting it is to me to be characterized as "borderline abusive". Though it rarely happens, it is seen in our industry that the nail quick can be accidentally cut when trimming nails. Even experienced and cautious groomers can accidentally cut the quick. Especially if the nails are dark in color, this makes the quick less visible and therefore more challenging because it cannot be seen. Any time that one of our customers is completely dissatisfied with their service, we are happy to correct the problem. I would like to provide you with a full refund for your service. Please contact me at your earliest convenience at (813)832-3236 or come by the store to be refunded. I am also happy to communicate with your veterinarian if he or she would like that. Again, I sincerely apologize and would really like the opportunity to rectify this situation. We value our clients and our community and want to provide the best service possible. Thank you, Lois Waite, Owner The Dashing Pooch

DONT GET FOOLED BY THE GOOD REVIEWS! I got fooled and took my dog there and had an awful experience! The owner Lois is very unprofessional and rude. I took my 12 year old Bichon to get a cut and be bathed. When the front desk lady returned my dog, She looked SO sad and miserable. I was shocked. Never in 12 years has she left a grooming place feeling like that. When I noticed her belly, it was red, swollen, burnt, and all her lumps were cut. I felt like crying when I saw her. I went back to dashing pooch and asked them what happened to my dog. They explained what happened only when I came back and asked and didn't have the courtesy to tell me when I picked her up. I rushed to Bayshore Animal Clinic where I had to pay extra because they were closing but thankfully I was attended! The veterinarian gave me medicine for my dog. I was left horrified by this experience. My dog didn't have to go through this at her age.

Example: There are a few times in life when a meal is so expertly crafted and planned that it is nothing short of genius. Last night, I had one of those meals - the Mahi Mahi.

The dish was excellently prepared. Grilled, juicy, and fresh without a hint of fishiness. A glaze of tangerine sauce brought a hint of tart sweetness. The fish was placed on a mound of sweet plantain rice. The combination of the fish and rice alone was to die for!

However, as only expert chefs can achieve, additional garnishes provided even bolder, beautiful tastes. Pickled onions topping the fish made for an even finer taste experience, while green beans hidden under the fish added freshness and completed each bite
